An autumn walk along the Molonglo River and Queanbeyan River offered more than scenic views — it highlighted decades of cross-border conservation work. Hosted by Molonglo Conservation Group and Queanbeyan Landcare, the heritage walk explored efforts to tackle erosion, restore native habitat, and improve river health where the rivers meet. Participants saw thriving native plantings, mini forests, and ongoing woody weed removal projects on both sides of the border. A highlight

All artists are invited to explore how urban life interacts with the rivers and waterways of the Molonglo catchment. Works may respond to the environmental pressures, connections and contrasts that arise where built environments meet natural systems.
