Effective erosion control is the key to keeping your land hydrated and healthy
This spring the forecast is for better than average rainfall... and that means erosion. But what can you do about it? What's realistic within your budget? And what's going to make the most difference?
Facilitated by Cam Wilson and Anne Gibson from the Mulloon Institute, this workshop will start at the Sutton Road Driver Training Centre with a short introduction to the art and science of erosion control. We'll then take a short drive to a nearby property to:
- look at the impact of historic works dating back ~20 years
- assess current erosion problems, both large and small
- discuss options and priorities for work over the next 12 months
Tea and coffee will be available in the morning, but please BYO lunch, writing materials and come prepared for the outdoors (sensible shoes, clothing, hat, water bottle etc.)
This workshop is hosted by the Molonglo Conservation Group in partnership with Reedy Creek Landcare. It is funded under the Australian Government's Communities Environment Program and is also supported by the Sutton Road Driver Training Centre, our venue for the first part of the workshop.
